Definition: Phenomenon Differential

Midjourney prompt: "The distance between two instanciations".

The Phenomenon Differential between the phenomenon 3 and the phenomenon 5 is -2.

The Phenomenon Differential of the function y = log(x) is y = 1/x.

The Phenomenon Differential of cognition is metacognition. Every time we differentiate, a new phenomenon arises which can itself be differentiated.

Quantum intrication is the result of the Phenomenon Differential between “projection on a state” and a previous “intricated particles” Phenomenon (the Phenomenon Differential between diffraction in a coherent light source, for instance).

The Phenomenon Differential between two states of a percept is a information. The Phenomenon Differential between two informations is a gestalt (fundamental unit of cognition).

The question: what are the phenomena out of which the Phenomenon “meaning” emerges?

Another question: taking an element or a system and its attributes as a Phenomenon, does the Phenomenon Differential of two Phenomena correspond to the difference of their respective attributes?

It feels to me like our current description of the world is one where we have applied one or two phenomenon differentials. I think complex phenomena like communication, consent, sexual fantasies and narratives - and to a greater extent consciousness, entropy, information, representations, evolve on a plane where maybe three or four differentials are required. Deeper, or more general models. I feel equipped to explore the world in this way. I give myself permission. It’s just a matter of sitting down and trying my best.
